Yadgiri|13.01.2025
Under Section 22 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947
The Community Health Officers (CHOs) working on a contract basis in Yadgir District hereby inform the public and the concerned authorities that a formal protest notice has been submitted today to the District Health and Family Welfare Department under Section 22 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.
The notice highlights chronic delays in salary payments, non-payment of incentives for the years 2024–25 and 2025, arrears, bonuses, TA bills, internet bills, Group-D payments pending for more than 16 months, and unpaid Health Mela dues. It also raises serious concerns regarding harassment of CHOs for exposing corruption.
Despite repeated written and oral representations to the authorities, no effective action has been taken, resulting in severe financial hardship for the Community Health Officers. In the absence of a positive response within the statutory notice period, the CHOs will be compelled to undertake a peaceful and lawful protest, including a Padayatra from Subhash Chandra Bose Circle to the Office of the District Health Officer, Yadgir, followed by a peaceful dharna, on 28 January 2026.
The Community Health Officers reiterate that the proposed protest will be entirely peaceful and will not disrupt essential public health services. They urge the authorities to resolve the matter immediately in the interest of justice, employee welfare, and public health.
