The Union had submitted an official complaint to the Hon’ble Labour Commissioner regarding the non-payment of the 5% annual salary increment and 10% bonus for the years 2022–23 and 2023–24 for Community Health Officers (CHOs). Following the complaint, a conciliation meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of the Labour Commissioner.
After the conciliation process and subsequent strike actions, the year of 2023–24 salary increment and bonus have been released. However, the 5% annual increment for 2022–23 has still not been paid.
Since the conciliation meetings did not yield a resolution, the case has now been referred to the Labour Court for further legal action. Two hearings have already taken place, and the next hearing is scheduled for December 17 as notified by the court.
The Union remains committed to pursuing this matter legally to secure the rightful benefits of all Community Health Officers.
