Under the Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP), a Southern States Regional Conference was held in Visakhapatnam, where key initiatives undertaken by different districts to improve health indicators were reviewed and discussed.
Representing Kalaburagi District, the Honorable Deputy Commissioner (DC) Madam presented the measures implemented in Kalagi Taluk, particularly focusing on early registration of pregnant women during the first trimester, close monitoring of high-risk pregnancies, and the district’s efforts to prevent maternal mortality.
During the presentation, the dedicated work carried out at the grassroots level by Community Health Officer (CHO) Ms. Asha Jadhav was also highlighted as an important contribution to improving maternal health outcomes in the district.
The participants of the conference appreciated the effective strategies adopted by Kalaburagi District in preventing maternal deaths. The conference also emphasized the need to continue strengthening maternal healthcare services and further improving the monitoring and follow-up of high-risk pregnancies in the coming days.
The initiatives undertaken in the district were recognized as an example of committed field-level implementation and coordinated efforts in safeguarding maternal health.
