All India CHO Union – Formation Meeting Successfully Concluded…..

The All India Community Health Officers (CHO) Union formation meeting was successfully held on 2nd November 2025 at Ambedkar Bhawan, New Delhi, under the leadership and guidance of Shri R. Manasayya.

Representatives from seven (7) states across India actively participated in the meeting, while nine (9) other states expressed their willingness and commitment to join and support the formation and future activities of the All India CHO Union.

The Punjab State representative stated that they would remain on standby and convey their final decision after reviewing the outcome of this meeting.

Key Resolutions Passed

  • The official name of the national body was finalized as All India CHO Union.
  • Classification and allocation of 35 official posts were completed.
  • State-wise representation and designations were assigned.
  • It was resolved to include the remaining states, draft the Union Bylaws, and organize the official announcement and inauguration of office bearers in the last week of December 2025.
  • A Charter of Demands highlighting the major and common issues faced by CHOs across India will be submitted to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW) and the Government of India.

The final announcement of office bearers and the official inauguration program will be held in Bengaluru, Karnataka, in the presence of all State leaders during the last week of December 2025.

All members across the country are requested to uphold unity, cooperation, and collective strength until the official inauguration.

All decisions were taken with unanimous consent of the representatives from the seven participating states and with the support expressed by the nine other states, under the guidance of Shri R. Manasayya.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, Dr. Anus was unable to host the meeting; therefore, the event was successfully organized and hosted by the Karnataka State Community Health Officers Union.
