PRESS NOTE
Kalaburagi, 29 October 2025
Community Health Officers (CHOs) serving in various Health and Wellness Centres across Kalaburagi district have been discharging their duties with utmost dedication and sincerity. However, their arrears, bonus, increment, incentive, and salary payments have not yet been released, despite multiple representations to the concerned authorities.
Furthermore, the April 2025 increment and the May 2025 incentives of 35 CHOs are still pending. In addition, the salary and rent payments of Group-D staff working under Ayushman Health & Wellness Centres have not been disbursed.
Although the Government and the Department of Health & Family Welfare have already released the necessary grants, the delay in disbursement at the district level has caused severe financial hardship and disappointment among the staff.
To draw attention to these unresolved issues, the Community Health Officers’ Union, Kalaburagi District, will stage a peaceful protest demonstration on 6th November 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, in front of the District Health and Family Welfare Office, Kalaburagi.
After the protest, a foot march (Kaalunadige) will be held from the District Health Office to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, where a memorandum will be submitted to the Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner.
The Mr Prakash Rathod District President strongly urges the authorities to immediately release all pending dues — including arrears, salaries, bonuses, incentives, April increments, May CHO incentives, and Group-D salaries and rent — in the interest of employee welfare and effective functioning of the district health system.
