Press Release
Yadgir|28.01.2026
Community Health Officers (CHOs) working on a contractual basis in Yadgir district have expressed serious concern and strong dissatisfaction over the continuous delay in payment of salaries, incentives, and other allowances, along with several long-pending dues.
In this regard, a Strike and Padayatra Notice was submitted to the District Health and Family Welfare Officer on 13-01-2026, in accordance with Section 22 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. As per the notice, a padayatra and peaceful strike were scheduled on 28-01-2026.
However, with the intention of resolving the issues amicably through dialogue and to provide one final opportunity to the administration, the CHO Association has decided to temporarily postpone the strike and padayatra from 28-01-2026 to 29-01-2026.
If no positive action or clear assurance is received within the postponed period, the CHOs will proceed on 29-01-2026 with:
a Padayatra from Subhash Chandra Bose Circle to the Office of the District Health Officer, followed by
a Peaceful strike / dharna in front of the District Health and Family Welfare Office
