Objection Submitted to MD NHM — CHO Union Calls for Bipartite Meeting..

Press Release|04.12.2025

Bengalore:The Akhila Karnataka State Community Health NHM Contractual Employees Union has today formally submitted an objection letter to the Mission Director, NHM, regarding the proposed HR Policy and re-appointment process.

According to the Union, the HR policy:

  1. Threatens job security of CHOs and NHM employees.
  2. Enables artificial break in service and disruption of employment
  3. Creates uncertainty for long-serving healthcare workers rendering essential public health services

After submitting the objection, the Union has demanded an immediate Bipartite Meeting with the MD NHM to discuss concerns directly before any decision is finalized. The Union emphasized that no employee-related policy should be implemented unilaterally without consulting employee representatives.

Union’s Stand:

Service security of CHOs and NHM employees is non-negotiable
✔ Policy revision must include stakeholders and union participation
✔ The public health system depends on a protected and stable workforce

The Union has requested the Mission Director to schedule the bipartite meeting urgently to prevent injustice and to safeguard thousands of families whose livelihood depends on NHM employment.
