Today, Community Health Officer P. Mercy Sajani of Rupanagudi Ayushman Arogya Health & Wellness Centre (AAK), Ballari District, visited the homes of bedridden patients and provided essential palliative care services.
Palliative care is specialised medical care aimed at improving the quality of life of patients living with serious or long-term illnesses and supporting their families. It focuses on relieving pain, managing symptoms, and providing emotional and spiritual support, and can be provided alongside curative treatment or independently, at any stage of illness.
The care provided included:

✔ Personalised care planning with patient and family support
✔ Education for families on patient care and comfort
